 In Germany, gyn docs dont take temps at all - at least unless there is reason to suppose the patient has fever.

I asked my wife and both daughters about rectal temps. being taken at the Ob/Gyn. They looked at me like I had three heads. They said that has never happened to them, and they've never heard of it being done. The only place that I've read about rectal temps. being taken at the Ob/Gyn is on this forum.

John, I belief you, but what I know for sure is only rectal temps in gyn docs' offices are not usual in Germany. I know little about how it is in the USA or elsewhere.
