I remember that I always had my temperature taken first, at my doctor's visits as a kid. Then if I needed it, I'd get a shot(or two) in the bottom, at the very end of the visit. I've talked to young kids, of today, who have never had their temperatures taken in their bottom, or a shot given in their backside. In my humble opinion, they are really missing out on the whole rt thing....and will never know how great it feels to get one. I'm glad that you and I had the chance to experience temperatures in our bottoms, and to savor the cool delicious feeling of the glass thermometer. Jenn. What if I'd asked for an r/t at our pediatrician's when I was eight or nine? Would my request had been granted? Unfortunately, I'll never know now.
