Love talking about my r/t past, When I was young my mom would always do r/t in the bathroom across her knee, even into teen years. Of course this led me to trying it out with my sister and male and female cousins, When did you find out you liked r/ts?

Yahoo groups along with Yahoo messenger enables persons of a particular Yahoo group to connect and exchange thoughts, ideas, and experiences (past and present) with others that have the same general interest. Unfortunately, one person's specific interest in RT's can be quite differ that from another person. That is M/F, F/M, M/M, F/F, and the receiving end of a glass rectal thermometer may be and adult or youth. Furthermore, the RT may be a fringe interest of a person whose whose primary interest may be uninteresting or even revolting to the other correspondent.

As a result of this mismatch, it can be disappointing to both persons and one or the other will seek to terminate the discussion. What is needed is a medium for persons with particular RT interests can connect. Some so-called social networks (but unfortunately does not Yahoo groups) offer a sub-group category in which members can join that serve members specific interests. Using a poll will to join would enable the moderator to place a person in one or more subgroups (that offers more privacy because it prevents a curious member from bouncing subgroup to subgroup). There has to be a common thread for person to make a connection such as Yahoo groups.

I am interested in setting up a RT connections group should there be persons interested in joining it. If there are readers of this post that would like to join a connections group, I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

Not hard. I have a good idea on RT interest categories. Each member would have a Yahoo account so he/she could be instantly connected to Yahoo messenger. The problem is that Yahoo groups do not have a subgroup option.

Nevertheless, I created a Yahoo group and am working out a plan to produce a subgroup effect. It will allow for other features such as messages, pictures, etc.

You are correct. But I suspect that Yahoo uses an automated system to identify a RT group and monitors the group by scanning the words "rectal" and/or "temperature" and targets it for elimination whenever a picture is posted that depicts an underage person getting a RT. Another problem is that Yahoo might recognize the nature of the group by associating its members to the content, with User ID's with the name "Temp", "Rectal", etc., and so user may have to set up an account with a non-controversial User ID.

That being said if the content is carefully masked, using an alias, it might work. The problem is that it would appear that Yahoo has no subgroup feature which is essential for connecting those persons with like RT interests. So far, I cannot see how Yahoo groups will provide that functionality.

Teen rectal temps. is a very closely monitored group, with an extremely biased and whimsical moderator. I had joined in the past, then for no explained reason, one day they decided to deny me access from the group. I had never even communicated with any of its members. They have teens and adults among their members. I sent a polite email to the group moderator, inquiring why I was denied access after so many years, and never received a reply.

One wonders what goes on that group and why a teen would be interested in that sort of thing, unless it was a meeting place for both teens and adults. Not a smart thing to do either way.

I was a member of RT Advisor and of other Yahoo RT groups and I formed my own RT groups, none of which lasted. I recognize many people here and I think I chatted with some of you on RT Advisor. I would love to chat with people about RT'S.

The adults in the Teen Rectal Temps. group are typically moms who are in favor of doing rectal temps. for accuracy reasons, (or so they say). I've never seen any remarks that were out of line, although I've seen some posts that appear to have been written by people who have a poor grasp of English. I've seen many of the photos, and alot of them appear to be older teens, or young adults. I have never posted anything on there, nor have I communicated with any members. That's why I never understood the reason that I was denied access after having been a member for so many years. I think that the group moderator is using arbitrary and unfair screening practices.

I understand what you are saying- I tried to get into Teen Rectal Temps at least 6 times, and all of those times my request was denied- and I had t wait up to 3 weeks each time after I made the request! I agree- the moderator is discretionary and uses unfair screening to accept or reject new members!

Yahoo, MSN, and now Google groups are unfriendly to RT groups. Most of the groups relocated to World Group hosting but world groups charges for access and a lot of people don't like the charges. There are some sexually oriented on Eons but I doubt know if an RT group would be accepted or not for naming I would just suggest a low profile name like RT Group.
