I'm glad this topic has finally been brought up. I, too, am an adult male, 42, living with my mother, and my temperature is still taken rectally by my mother. I also was a late bloomer and, let's admit it, a mama's boy. I was bathed and wiped by my mother throughout my teen years. Like you, the rectal temperature-taking continued into adulthood. It may seem strange, but it has been and continues to be a normal part of my home life. I do not feel any embarrassment at having my rectal temperature still taken by my mother. Of course, I bath and wipe myself. But my nudity does not bother either one of us, whether I am dressing or changing or when walking in the nude back and forth from my bedroom to the shower. I am very eager to read more postings by men like us who still have their rectal temperatures taken by their parents.
