 When I was growing up I enjoyed getting my rectal temperature taken by certain people and hated having it taken by others. There was this young nurse at my children's clinic that took mine, and it usually felt good because she stuck it in far enough to create an intense sensation, but not so far that it was uncomfortable like when the other nurses did it. She was pretty too, and had a gentle calming voice, which is good if you're a little kid. The other nurses were older, cranky, and intimidating.

I did feel I was weird liking my temperature taken rectally. Later, some bigger kids told me how they stuck popcycle sticks up their butts. I was about 8 or 9 and I hadn't had my temperature taken in years, but it started me thinking. I tried it and all those memories came back. I liked it even more. But I always felt quilty afterards. I always thought I was the only one who would do something like this. And girls would NEVER even think of something like this. Well.....that was then. I don't think or feel that way anymore.

I never felt weird liking rectal temps. Although I didn't acquire my own rectal thermometer until more than five years had passed since the last time I'd had it taken at the doctor's, I also experimented. First I tried a toothbrush handle (no, I didn't insert the bristled end) and finally settled on popsicle sticks. The nice thing about a popsicle stick was, once you inserted it, it stayed put until you withdrew it no matter how much you squeezed and relaxed. I went through many popsicle sticks before acquiring a thermometer and miraculously, I never got a splinter back there.

No one ever knew about my fetish, either.
