 About 10 years ago my mother came down with pneumonia and was treated for a few days in the hospital. Her doctor recommended home nursing for a couple of weeks afterwards. Mother had a wonderful Filipino nurse who came each day. One of the things I remember is that Winnie always took mother's temperature rectally.

Sounds like you were present during these measurements. Were you there during the rectal temperatures? As for me it was just my friend there, but she did have other Fillipino nurse friends, who had they been there, probably wouldn't have mattered. I just needed to recover.
