Lucky boyfriend. You say the thermometer is shorter and wider? Does the thermometer numbers read in "Celsius" or Farenheit? If Celsius, then it may be outside the U.S. perhaps Europe. Do you remember rectal temperatures when you were a girl? If you live outside the U.S. are rectal temperatures taken at the hospital or medical clinic for adults? If so, do they use glass or plastic when taking rectal temperature?

Celcius of course because we are in Europe. It is possible that thermometers look different. It starts the same at the beginning with the smaller bulb but then gets wider.
And I dont know what happens in hospital. I have not been to one for ages. And at the doctors my temp was never checked. Only at home.
And my boyfriend takes it just for fun, not only when I dont feel well ...
