alex i am kinda in the same boat as you, i want my mom to take my temp rectally but never asked her because she might flip out. so to answer your question yes i would. if my adult child came to me and asked me to take there temp rectally i wouls yes i will do it. adn the reason i would do it is because it is more accurate and it is important to have an accurate reading. i would also say don't be embarrassed to ask me to take your temp rectally then i woudl say that it is common for people of all ages to get there temp taken this way. and i would also say if you want ur temp taken like this then from now on i will take your temp like this. having a rectal temp done is nothing to be embarrassed about. so yes if my adult child asked me to take there temp rectally i would do it.

If you needed it I would. Do you Need it or just want it? There were times when I was a teenager I didn't need it, I just wanted it and would fake being sick.

Charlie, I give it to myself very often but its not the same. I don't know what it gives to me. I guess I just like my dad taking care of me and I like to lie there with a RT in my bum.
