For me,rectal temperatures are exciting because of the intimate nature of the procedure.First,having by bottom bared and knowing what is coming next.Then seeing the thermometer being shaken down and hearing the"whip-like" sound.I watch the thermometer being lubricated by my mother or a pretty nurse.Then my buttocks are spread wide and I know the taker is looking right at my exposed anus.I know the insertion is just seconds away at this point and I get butterflies in my stomach.Then I FEEL IT!-The lubricated bulb hits my anus and enters my rectum -the glass is so cool and slick.It slides effortlessly into my rectum.Some times the taker will "adjust " or "twirl" the thermometer as they wait for the temperature to register.Sometimes her palm is resting on my bottom.What wonderful SENSATIONS.

Rectal temperatures are so exciting I think because of the sensations that it carries with it. The tinkling sensations of air as it moves over your exposed buttocks, seeing the thermometer made ready. the feel of the gloved hand on your buttocks as they are spread apart and the cool feeling round the anus as it is exposed. feeling the cold ky-jelly or vaseline being gently rubbed on your bumhole and then the thin cool thermometer being inserted and the tickling sensation it has.
All of these I think make the experience exciting. I think to that it is a medical procedure and the feeling of no control when your receiving a rectal temp heightens the excitement.
