I truly felt that Jane Child got jipped on the Billboard chart. It was the first time I ever questioned the Billboard charts, and to this day I still feel that it was the most popular song for at least that first week. Yeah, it would have been cool to see that jump from six to one.

Speaking of that week, Lisa Stansfield was number 3 with, "All Around the World", which hit 1 on the r&B chart. Was she the first Englishperson (except Paul McCartney when he teamed up with MJ on "The Girl Is Mine") to hit 1 on the R&B chart? I know Sade did it, but she was originally from Nigeria, right?
