I would think, that without Lexa there would be no Andromeda. She is the ship... even with a new avatar, the AI and Holo would have to change. It wouldn't be Andromeda anymore. That's just my not so humble opinion.

Anyway, since the birth of her daughter on September 13th, Lexa should be back to take up her role more actively. At least til the end of the season.

Will there be a Season Six? Who knows. Sorbo may have a sitcom lined up, he did only contract for five seasons and is getting older now...

I'd be surprised if Andromeda continued. If it does, I would hope they'd try to stick with as much of the original cast/crew as necessary.
