Took my '61 Navy Colt Signature Series out today for the first time since last July. Put about 60 rounds through it using both Goex fffg and Triple 7 (never combined). With a +/- 20 grain charge, wonder wads and a .375 ball I was putting rounds through a two inch phonebook or a 3/4 inch thick piece of oak at 18 paces with velocity to spare. I'd forgotten how much punch the .36 has and I noticed no real difference (though it wasn't a scientific test) between the real BP, which I prefer, and the Triple 7. I'd alwyas heard that Triple 7 burns hotter/faster and creates more velocity. For you experts - should I have seen a 'real' difference?

777 is 15% hotter than Goex. I found a difference using the Swiss powder (more snap) but for the extra money I don't think it's worth it.
Can you post a pic of your 1861 Navy? I'd post mine but it drives Cork crazy, which is actually a real short drive.

I'm not the most savvy at posting pictures. Will do so if someone can walk me through the process. I can't seem to find a help link here for a guide.

go to

http://tinypic.com/

and click on "browse", .....that takes you to your computer where you find the picture you want to post ,
then click "upload" and the picture will come into tinypic,...then copy all the info in the box that says "HTML for Websites"
and paste that into your message window where you post here in the forum. That should bring the picture right into the page.
You can check that when you Preview the post before you Send it in the forum here.

If you want to post just a link to the picture,......just copy and paste the info from the box on tinyPic that says "Direct link for layouts"

thxs & credit to oldelm.

Thanks guys - I was thinking there was a way to do it directly from VoyForums and it was driving me nuts trying to figure it out. I will post some pics of my '61 Navy Signature Series and accessories tonight. Back to yardwork I go for now...

I use this site:
http://photobucket.com/

You have to set up a (free) account.
Then you take a picture from your computer and download it to your account page.
Then you highlight and copy the HTML code under your pic.
Then you go back to the forum and paste the saved pic to your forum post.
Pretty simple once you do it the first time.

I have posted this before but got no feedback on it.
Please try it and let me know if it works for you. I may need to change something.

Posting a picture.

1. Go to TinyPic.com

http://s3.tinypic.com/index.php

2. Click on “Browse” This will bring up a box that you use to find the picture you want in your computer.

3. Find the picture and click on it.

4. Click “open”

5. Click “upload now” If you are on a dial up connection and the picture is very large, now is the time to go cook and eat your breakfast.

When your picture has been up loaded the screen will give you four choices and a box for you to e-mail the info to your self. I suggest you do that first. Type in your e-mail address and click on send. This will give you all the picture choices in case something goes wrong. (like my instructions)

6. Put your cursor on the HTML for websites (top) row. Left click on it to chose it (it all turns dark). Right click to bring up the menu. Click on copy.

7. Go to voy forum and right click in the reply box. Click paste. The HTML will be put in the box.

8. Click “preview”. This should bring up your reply with the picture in it.

9. If you want to do another one, look on the right side of the screen and you will see the picture you just uploaded. Right below it you will see “upload more”, click on that and do it all again.

10. When you are satisfied with your reply, click “send”.

Good Luck.
