Very nice country out there at the range. Great photos, looks like you had the whole place to yerselves. Those Colt Pythons sure are sweet to shoot, I used to have one with a shorter barrel but sold it, the grips was too big for my smaller hands.

Nice shootin with that USFA Colt. Looks like the 5.5 incher barrel. Is it the "Gunslinger" model with the antiqued finish? USFA makes a fine revolver,...some say even better than real Colts.

Oldelm the US Colt is the sweetest Rev I have shot in many Moons. It's .45Colt 4 3/4" bbl and I think it is a Gunglinger model matt finnish. (It should be my gun)
I had two low shots between 6-7 O'C and the other four where they were meant to be.
I did hit 50 juice can @ 50 yds but we had more fun dancin' bean cans from 15-25 paces :O)
Ron will probly give that USFA Colt to me when he wins the lotto and get a high gloss shiney blue one. (that's my Colt :O) did say that already? heehee!

Yup,...your right it's the 4-3/4" barrel. You know, I think that USFA Gunslinger IS yours..... I looked at the photo of it with Woody's deep penetrating High-Plainsman "rear hole" Nano Grass Magnifier and saw it engraved..."property of Smokin-Gun :O)" on the barrel....hehe

Smokin & Ron...just wondering what loads you were using in the USFA Gunslinger. Home loaded or factory ammo? Black Powder or Smokeyless? How much powder, what size bullet? Am always curious..thanks again for the good report.

First of alL....IT'S MY GUN!!!

It's a USFA Rodeo with black matte finish, 4 3/4" barrel, gutta percha grips in .45 Colt.

We used Ammo Brothers New Premium 45 Long Colt 200 gr. RNFP, that I bought at a gun show last year. Smokeless powder. $19.95 for 50 rounds.

It is a sweet revolver. Fits my hand beautifully, same as Smokin' Gun's hand. Lock-up is dead tight. I also have a Pietta SAA in .45 Colt. 7 1/2" barrel, nickel plated fake ivory grips. Know what, the USFA weighs more, even with the shorter barrel of the same bore. That tells me the USFA is a much better construction.

I have heard that the USFA is better than the real Colt, but I don't have a similar real Colt to compare. I will one day. But don't tell Smokin' Gun, or he'll try to arm wrestle me for it.

MY GUN....Mom said!
