Is the double standard about Rather was just plain "wrong" in making the watermelon statement or is it that some Republicans would like to make perceived racial cracks and get away with doing so WITHOUT being accused of racists?

Are folks angry because they would like to get away with it....like they think Rather has?

Rather is an useful idiot. One could call this issue either way.
