Mandatory sentencing guidelines were enacted to address that very issue. Judges have little discretion in felony cases anymore.
Fact: There are more whites in prison than blacks, but based on the percentage of the population, blacks are there in greater numbers than they should be if they commit crime at the same rates as other races.
You seem to be arguing for a get out of jail free card for blacks based on their race.
That couldn't be it could it?
