And in fact, Democrats like Barney Frank and Christopher Dodd deserver more of the blame than Bush.
He tried five times between 2003 and 2007 to reform Freddie and Fannie and reign in dangerous lending practices. Dodd and Frank maneuvered to block every attempt.
