on circumstantial evidence. A long shot to say the least. They may have been served better if they had chosen a different charge to begin with. Prosecution arrogance, lack of evidence, a judgement of biased opinion evidenced by the emotional testimony given by the M.E., an incomplete and at times incompetent investigation, all matched by a defendant and other key people sticking to their lies and obstruction led a jury of reasonable people to come to the only conclusion they could. Similar to the OJ trial, the lack of conviction rests solely on the prosecution's inability to make their case.
