Subject: Can you really see Russia from Alaska?

Ref: Bing. The answer to the above question is YES. "Russia and Alaska are divided by the Bering Strait which is about 55 miles at its narrowest point. In the middle of the Bering Strait are two small sparsely populated islands: BIG DIOMEDE which sits in Russian territory and LITTLE DIOMEDE which is part of the United States. At their closest these two islands are a little less than two and a half miles apart which means on a clear day you can definitely see one from the other." Why do I bring all this up again and re-hash it? Because Tina Fey on SNL and any other chance she gets is still mocking Gov. Palin about her statement that she can see Russia from her home. Since Alaska is Palin's home she's right. Its time for leftie Fey to put up or shut up. She's been getting rich off badmouthing Palin for a long time now but someone should set her straight on the facts that YES THROUGH THE BERING STRAIT RUSSIA CAN BE SEEN BY ALASKA.
