It was very kind of you to take the time to do a search. Interesting article that leaves me with even more questions. hahadammit. I was told by a rep from the usda that they would get back to me...I'm not holding holding by breath. It's so weird though, these prices being so high. Something's up and not just the price of onions. Potatoes shot up a few years ago and have never come back down to a reasonble price. Dried beans are also high. Could it really just be the oil prices/transportation that is cause? My gut says no but no one is talking.
