Ask to see photos showing the tape with measurements, ideally while the dress is on the seller's dd. Then you can compare to your dd's measurements at those spots. Ask to see photos of the seams showing how much let out there is. If let down is needed in the bodice, confirm that if there is embroidery at shoulder seams and skirt, that it extends into the seam so when you let the dress down the embroidery continues. Ask about tanning marks on the underskirt, as well as if the dress is free from odor and if dress shields and undershirts were worn. I received these tips when buying, and it really helped me sort through the many, many dresses we saw.
