around zippers and from catching on stones can happen. Go to a local fabric store or craft section of Walmart and pick up a product called Fray-stop. It is clear and dries clear. Carefully trim any loose embroidery threads. Apply the fray stop all along the embroidery in the zipper area and in areas where the sleeves rub against the body (the more a dancer moves their arms the more snags you can get). Let it dry. When putting your dress away make sure that there are protective layers between all areas of the dress that get folded onto itself.

  • We used Modge podge on embridery and delicate fabrics on a few dresses we had one with lame that we put it on . Also clear nail polish can help with ends to stop freying (NT) -- mom, 06:39:50 05/31/17 Wed
