Author: allowing it to snag easier
Subject: My own experience with snagged embroidery has been that it was the gems that did the snagging, careful placement, and caution when packing the garment make all the difference, Need to be sure gems are not rubbing on embroidery. Also, never hang the dress, the weight pulls on the embroidery loosening it

  • Ack! To all the moms out there reading this: never, ever snip the embroidery thread! You can easily pull it back in. Fray check will only last so long and then your embroidery will just fall apart. (NT) -- Buy tool at any craft store, 21:35:04 05/31/17 Wed
  • If you have no sewing or embroidery experience I would hesitate to recommend doing thta. Better to find a dressmaker or craft expert to help you.e (NT) -- it isn't a craft project, 06:22:07 06/01/17 Thu
  • Snipping embroidery threads is the step 1 to completely unraveling and removing the embroidery (NT) -- permanently, 11:25:34 06/01/17 Thu
  • If the snagging is really bad, I think the only realistic option is to cut off the threads, colour the area with a Sharpie, and then cover it with Gemtac glue to hold remaining threads in place. (NT) -- A dressmaker, 14:13:58 06/01/17 Thu
