My dd follows a pretty strict diet during the week. Kale/collard greens, and a very wide variety of fruits, plus hemp seeds, flax oil, apple cider vinegar, kefir, in a smoothie for breakfast. Lunch is a salad with cheese and nuts on top. Dinner is eggs with cheese and veggies, or curried beans with rice, or vegetarian chili. She also brings a protein bar to school to nibble on if she gets hungry. On the weekend she eats pizza or ice cream if she wants. She says she has tons of energy and feels full without feeling stuffed or tired. She has built lots of muscle working with a trainer recently so she must be getting good nutrition, and she has very little fat on her body. She is also quite short, 5'1, so she doesn't need a ton of food to begin with.

  • You do not need to carb load. That type of eating is more for endurance athletes. For example marathon runners. Dance is much more like sprinting. Eat good lean protein veggies and complex carba (NT) -- Hth, 20:09:42 06/10/17 Sat
