Subject: Don't take the dancers height into consideration, go by the back length measurement first and if that measurement sufficiently covers your daughter, it should be fine. My dd was 5'2" and her dress was around 32", we sold the dress to a dancer who was 5'4" and it fit her perfectly. Ignore the height.

  • A tight dress will look shorter than a proper fitting dress. The Novice/Prizewinner dancers wear their dresses a bit longer. Different regions and different teachers have differing thoughts. A 5'1" damcer might generally wear a dress about 30" long in the back. (NT) -- Measure your previous dress, 22:07:48 06/13/17 Tue
  • Thank you. Based on my measurements and our prior dress I got a length of about 30 inches as well. -- OP, 10:28:27 06/14/17 Wed
