Love all the viewpoints; lots of wisdom here. Ironically, we went to a feis this past weekend, and she got the last first she needed... she brought a non-Irish dance friend who's very calm and fun. They enjoyed hanging out, and we came as late as possible to the comp and avoided hanging out in the comp room so that she didn't have tons of time focusing on her competition, dancers slipping on the stage, etc. She was in great spirits. She prayed for a good attitude, less nerves, more focus. She's been practicing more, too... all of this added up to a great, memorable day. Still needs to keep a balance, but be prepared, and not let her emotions get the best of her (there was a 10-minute span that she cracked a bit lol)... but we're looking forward to just competing at one level, without worrying if she gets to "move up." So done with that! (but yes, the comp is harder! that's ok!) Thanks again!!!
