Subject: Nope. Agree with the above. These posts come up every year 2 or 3 weeks out. They cause nothing but animosity. Would love to have own region host in region, but like everyone else having to pay flights and all, too. See it as being fair.
In reply to: Validity 's message, "You missed the entire point of the post. It's not about knowing ahead of time where it will be, it's knowing that it will never be fair to dancers in your region and you're being priced out of what claims to be a "family friendly" event. Nationals should be all over the US, not just in the southeastern United States the majority of the time." on 07:05:29 06/17/17 Sat

Can Only Imagine the complaknts that would have occurred if the NANS were held in the New York metropolitan area. People would be complaining about New York City. The excessive pause. The difficulty of getting around and having to pay a high price taxis or car rentals. And the lack of really anything to do that is easy to do or family-friendly. As well as, people complaining that the Mid-Atlantic people can easily drive how is this fair to the rest of us?.

Just like they have been complaining about this.

The bottom line is, if you have trouble affording going to something like then you shouldn't be going. Regardless of where it is being held.

It cost just as much for many of us coming from the Mid-Atlantic region to attend as it does for anyone coming from the western region or the Canadian region. Even parts of the southern region have to pay as much to attend. In looking at airfares and cost of travel the only region and only its some parts of it would be the Midwest region. There are many dancers in families from the Mid-Atlantic region who are not attending because they can't afford it. So it some what a slap in the face to them for the rest of you to be complaining. They have realized the cost and they made a decision and they are not moaning and groaning about it two weeks out.

So I don't understand why the complaints. The organisers did their best to keep it fair for all, even own region.

As I said before, these kind of pose crop up every single year. And it's fine people who are Petty enough to cast doubt on everything and who simply want to be negative. The post below about New Orleans being a den of iniquity is another such post. It would be nice for people to just let these events run their course. And not take it out on those who've made their choices to go. And to stop looking for the negative or little petty aspects of things just to make themselves feel better.
