Subject: No. Obviously you haven't tried to sell your home to move out of California. The restrictions in place, along with the tax penalties remove any opportunity of any gain. Huge depreciation on purchase cost because of this.

Or another house on another state as a result. It's ridiculous. Standard expectation of capital gains is one thing, but to stack other fees and taxes on top of those just to move?
