at the hotel, we got them AT check in, and it was well after 3, so it never mattered that they were for the same day.

Thinking we kind of represent the majority of those attending and for whom it NEVER mattered if the wristband was for the day OF check in. Heck, most of us are far more concerned with checking in, getting unpacked, and getting things sorted in the room - then finding the nearest shop for snacks, breakfast needs, tea, fruit and water, then finding a shop for wine/beer - MORE so than racing off to the venue to try to catch some dancer.

So glad you folks are so much more organized or can afford the hotel bar and restaurant rates for every meal. The majority can't and most really didn't care about what wristband day, except to ensure they had it for the day their own dancer danced. Period.

Too much nonsense about (theoretically) seeing other dancers. Right. Most come in for their own to dance and leave immediately after if not doing teams. That's the reality of all of this. You, my friend, are a part of a (very small) minority. But, like with most things in the US, nowadays, the minority gets catered to, almost every time. (shaking head)
