Subject: We don't participate in those. When raffle tickets were required I bought my dd's entire pile. I don't solicit family and friends for money. It makes me uncomfortable. But when specifically asked I buy whatever is being sold, or just donate if I don't want the overpriced citrus fruit or whatever.

  • I think it's true that it gives the kids a sense of work ethic instead of just asking for the money and receiving it. One of my former high school teachers set up a go fund me page so that his wife and him could adopt another kid and people supported them immensely. I would never do a thing like that I would feel too guilty. -- who cares (more inside), 18:36:58 06/29/17 Thu
