Subject: Actually, the GBs, BNs, and All Scots are open to the rest, too - they are secondary qualifier for UK dancers in rotation; each one takes it on every third year. Don't forget All Irelands is a third qualifier for the entire world.

if NAIDC isn't a qualifier, the numbers will drop and it will be nothing but a glorified feis. If Canada, Mexico (along with all the others, kind of like Europeans going to the UK, etc), and the US were to have own secondaries, there would be even more issues with hosting and the numbers would be very skewed.

It's not that big a thing for outside NA dancers to compete at NAIDC, except for a very few, small minded people who perceive some sort of unfair nonsense with it.
