Subject: "Just My Opinion" Inside........
In reply to: however (inside) 's message, "curious -- rotating panel vs fixed at a major? I'm sure fixed is more consitent, either they like you or they don't so you have 1 chance in the first round..." on 18:59:34 07/14/17 Fri

Set panel still allows for favours to play, unfortunately. In a set panel, if your first round isn't a killer, you can forget it. The same judges will mark you exactly the same or worse for your second round. Easy enough for judges to look back at their scores during the number check to see who they ranked top and just watch those in the second round.....rotating eliminates that. It all comes down to your very first round, because judges will downgrade your second round no matter how good it is.....rotation works!! Rotating panel is definitely the most fair and least political. Having 9 judges is so much better. The cream rises to the top with more judges. Fixed panel has an undue amount of influence. Fixed panel is easier to manipulate. Rotating panel for each round is the best way, fresh eyes each round, no bias after first round. Just our opinion having experienced and witnessed both ways.
