Author: and very critical
Subject: However, there were some, like the OP who came across as demanding and critical of the committee about the location and when others said otherwise, those were dismissed with the attitude that "we had a bad time, so you should have, too" It's the way with messages. Especially with the OP of #NANSneveragainNOLA that, itself is negative
In reply to: observer 's message, "This post is ridiculous. Anyone who presents and opinion is attacked. Why is it impossible to grasp that some people had a great time, and others did not. (more)" on 13:17:25 07/16/17 Sun

and it's probably why others came to the defense of the committee, time and time again.

The negative posts also came across as implying that the problems encountered were somehow the responsibility of the committee (because they selected NOLA about five or six years ago), but when others pointed out those issues were beyond the scope of the committee, they kept on and as you say, they were "reprimanded" which is a little exaggerated and comes across as very defensive.

What is hard to understand is that adults, when faced with disagreeable situations find excuses and blame/fault others for the problems instead of taking steps, for themselves, to correct them.

For instance, the OP and musty AC - that's the fault of the hotel and should have been addressed with the hotel. The homeless sprawled across a walkway - report to the local police and to the business where this happened and arrange for transportation. Being almost pickpocketed, again, report it and get it on record with the police. 90% of NOLA is on camera, more than likely, it was recorded. This is not to say those posters didn't do any of this, but odds are, since they made more of the issues here, instead of mentioning the steps taken to correct, they didn't do much beyond complaining.

Taking steps to correct or improve, isn't that the adult way of dealing with things?
