Author: Tc wrong or you are
Subject: Our tcs looked into this recently, & concluded that there is NOT tc discretion for pc to oc, because it' means automatic Nan's qualification. Naidc has qualifications above rest of world to reduce size. Wouldn't make sense to just let tcs put kids in oc and then they can all go anyway.
In reply to: more inside 's message, "First, please concern yourself about your own dancer would be the best advice. Second, the above post is not entirely correct. The MidAtlantic region AND the Western region both have 3 firsts in one calendar year as a requisite to move up to OC from PC; however," on 05:22:16 08/03/17 Thu

  • There is no TC discretion to move a dancer from PC to OC. It gets done by dancers who are short a win by going to another region to dance in OC, but that's more of a loophole than anything else. -- Mom of OC, 09:27:19 08/03/17 Thu
  • I have seen dancers get multiple wins in PC and never placed in OC. If a dancer can't get two wins in PC, there chances of doing well in OC are very slim. The awards aren't any nicer in OC, so the only advantage to being in OC over PC is automatic qualification for Regionals and NANs and maaaaaaybe doing the NAFC belt championships.
