Author: TCs can and do move dancers
Subject: Whether or not some of you like the reply above or disagree with it, it does say what is correct. In the end, moving a dancer comes down to the TC. There are certain schools who have no dancers ever in grades, but somehow their dancers burst on the scene in PC. Please, explain how this happens.

But, because of the micromanaging, snoopy, and butt-ins out there, it's not done all that much and usually only with older dancers.

Maybe if some of you actually read the rules, you would see that poster is correct. There is nothing that says a TC cannot place a dancer appropriately. It is left open for individual cases. All the rules say is that when a dancer gets whatever firsts required, then that dancer must move up.That's it.

Face it, no T.C worth his salt is going to do this unless there is a reason behind it. TCs want to keep dancers at levels long enough for mastery and then some. But it is all vague enough to all discretion for some cases, nothing more.

But also, take the time and check out some well placed school. Try to find any grades dancers at a comp. Very few and far between. How do they suddenly appear in PC

The best advice is to focus on own dancer and let the chips fall where they may.
