My daughter chose not to until her ban was close to over and we needed to pick up items from the vendors. For her, it was hard for her to be there without competing, because she missed competing.

If your daughter wants to go and cheer on friends, then definitely do so. If she doesn't feel comfortable because she can't compete or if she doesn't feel comfortable bumping into people from your old school who may not be as kind, then sit out.

There really isn't a right or wrong answer. It's all about what feels right for you and your dancer. :-)
