Subject: Not cut off, but instructed to be front and center, and to be in front of the other dancer.
In reply to: Roller derby vs Irish dance 's message, "Do certain schools teach their dancers to cut off dancers on stage on purpose? Do the judges mark the aggressive dancers down at all for their aggressive behaviour? Any hints on how to handle this on stage?" on 13:14:02 08/22/17 Tue

  • There are also those dancers who will "share" directions of steps with whomever is in same rotation, and then deliberately go in a different pattern, oftentimes directly into or in front of one of the others at a critical point. Really scary to be so calculating and deliberate. -- have also seen where, 18:10:13 08/23/17 Wed
  • This is what happened to my dancer. The other dancer also lied on the direction she was going to go in. This school is known to do this a lot. (NT) -- Lesson learned, 21:02:21 08/23/17 Wed
  • Same in here. One dancer even admitted trying to cut off dd and to try to push her off the stage! Didn't work. When she moved in front of dd, dd was doin a click and kicked her in the butt. Threw the other dancer off so much, she never got back on time. DD placed but the other dancer didn't. Be careful what you teach. (NT) -- Karma does happen., 05:59:39 08/24/17 Thu
  • What??? Name and shame- need to know who to avoid being in line with. (NT) -- Scary!, 07:02:37 08/24/17 Thu
