Subject: We had a boy move up after placing 2nd in a competition with four boys.
In reply to: stuck forever otherwise 's message, "Can a begginner 2 dancer be moved to novice before recieving proper placement (1, 2, or 3 with 5 or more) if there is TC permission? Have an O13 begginer 2 and there are never more than 5 dancers. Want the dancer to progress in the proper manner, but is hard due to age." on 15:08:39 08/25/17 Fri

There was a "no show" after a separate competition was created due to there being five boys signed up for a previously merged competition. His mother didn't even ask his TCRG, but moved him up. Her reasoning was that had that fifth dancer showed up and placed 2nd, her son would have still placed 3rd, which would have qualified him to move up in Midamerica. She paid good money for that competition and wasn't about to let her child be punished because of the mandatory "If five boys sign up they get their own competition" rule which ended up being pointless because five dancers are required for the placement to count and one didn't show. The TCRG didn't notice that she moved him up, but some might. (I didn't blame the mother by the way)
