Subject: Simply, OP - YES, YOU must dance at your own O's (primary qualifier).
In reply to: Wondering 's message, "Must I dance at my O in order to compete at worlds?" on 08:01:32 08/30/17 Wed

unless you meet the criteria of an injury serious enough to take you out and a doctor verifies this, or there is a death in your immediate family just prior to the qualifier. Both events will require specific paperwork to be submitted with qualifying documentation and then, the regional council will meet (usually right there at the qualifier), and decide if you meet the criteria for exemption. Doesn't happen all that often, but when it has, the injuries have been severe and/or the loss of an immediate family member occurred within two - four days of the qualifier.
