Subject: While it's fine to make the argument that these are volunteers, it's also irrational to expect everyone to shut up, and it's pretty entitled at that.

Participation in these events is optional, but it's also really expensive. Dancers train all year for their moment on stage and then to have stages that are poorly constructed, results that are not properly calculated, and a venue that is unprepared for the sheer size of the event is really unreasonable. Just because we don't all walk away and quit when events are poorly run doesn't mean that we can't vent our frustrations. The idea that everyone should just be glad to be here is disingenuous. I think that everyone should speak up, nothing changes if we all fall in line and stay silent.

  • Issues are not isolated for one age group this time. The problems that exist are wide-spread and ongoing. Have a very long memory; few NANs were without issues, but they were fixed fairly quickly and usually affected one group. This year, problem after problem has occurred. The biggest issue is the lack of communication - that makes everything (NT) -- even more tense, 12:10:37 07/08/21 Thu
  • Agree!!! Isolated issues are not a reasonable comparison to what is going on now. (NT) -- Too old., 13:28:12 07/08/21 Thu
