If school A charges $50K and has 50 students and school B charges $3.5K How many students does School B need to make the average cost per student equal $26K?

[$3.5K(x) + $50K(50)] / (X+50) = $26K
$3.5(x) + $2500 = $26k(x) + $1300k
$22.5k(x) = $1200k
x = 53

Wow, so the cheapest private school only needs 3 more students than the expensive one to balance out those numbers. I am willing to bet there are a lot more than 3 additional students in the cheaper school verses the most expensive one.
