Would this come in handy? Mary Kay Cosmetics manufactures all of their own products. They outsell all competitors every year, including Estee Lauder & Clinique. You can become a Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics or even a Personal Use Consultant. A Personal Use Consultant is someone who basically becomes a consultant in order to purchase her own products at discount, not really to sell the products to others. However - why not be both? It costs $100 for your starter kit with Mary Kay. In this starter kit is $267+ worth of full size retail products in addition to catalogs, samples, applicators, forms, tapes, carrying cases, day-planner & etc. It's worth way more than it costs. (You'd also have sales tax & shipping but shipping is never more than $8 in the USA). In order to remain active and get your products at 50% off you only need to place at least one $200 wholesale ($400 retail) order per quarter. Whether you choose to sell the products (at 50% commission) or to use them yourself in your hair/make-up services is up to you. But consider that your $200 is getting you $400 worth of retail cosmetics. I would imagine any good H/M person would be able to go through that many products in a quarter herself in her business, but you can also sell the products. If your clients like the products you use on them they can purchase them from you and you can earn commissions & other prizes just for doing what you are already doing, and save money as well.
