Official Rules
 
Prizes: Winner will receive a $100 savings bond, or, if eligible to participate1, winner may choose a $50 credit towards entry fees to the Little Miss North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant. Winning photo will be displayed on the www.littlemissnc.com website, featured in the quarterly LMNC newsletter, the Best of the Best, and included in the first official LMNC calendar. One free copy of the 2003 LMNC calendar will be given to each winner. Calendars will be ready for shipment in January of 2003. Prizes are nontransferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 
 
To Enter: Fill out an official Entry Form and send along with photo and entry fee to:

Photo should be any size black & white or color (head and shoulder shots only). Name, age, address, and phone number of contestant should be listed on the back of the photo. Entry fee is $20 payable to Little Miss North Carolina. If you wish to have your photo returned, please send an additional $3.00 for shipping. (Only one photo and entry per month, please.) By entering, you agree to LMNC's use of the contestant's name and photo for promotional purposes in its newsletter, website, and any other publication for promotional purposes. Copyrighted photos will be accepted only if a release from the photographer is included. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. 
 
Selection of Winner: One winner will be chosen each month. Winners can not participate again until the following calendar year. The selection process will be conducted under the supervision of LMNC, whose decisions are final and binding. All entries must be received by the 25th to be judged in the current month. Entries received after the 25th will be judged in the next month. Winners will be notified by postal mail by the 15th of the month following. LMNC is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners. 
 
Conditions: The contest shall be governed by the laws of the United States. All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Little Miss North Carolina, Inc. (LMNC) and its affiliates, representatives, agents, directors, officers, shareholders, and staff are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, inaccurate, incomplete, or unintelligible entries; (ii) any condition caused by events beyond their control; (iii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the contest; or (iv) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the contest. LMNC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify, or cancel this contest at any time if a problem or cause beyond their control corrupts the administration, security, or proper function of the contest. 
 
Open to boys and girls ages 15 months to 18 years--limited to US residents only. Eligibility is based on age as of the last day of the month--January's contestants must be between 15 months and 18 years old as of January 31st. A $25 fee will be charged for any check returned unpaid. 
 
To be eligible to participate in the Little Miss North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant, contestant must be between the ages of fifteen months and eighteen years, qualify in an official Little Miss North Carolina preliminary pageant, and be a North Carolina resident.
