Dixville Notches Up First Results
By Margaret Evans, AP

Dixville Notch is proud of its status as the first polling place to open, and close, in NH.
DIXVILLE NOTCH, NH - January 08, 2008 - Voters turned out in their hordes...of 17...to the polling station in Dixville Notch. It's a tiny village about three hours north of Concord, New Hampshire.

Here's how they decided the Primary ballots:

DEMOCRATS:
Bill Richardson: 1
John Edwards: 2
Barack Obama: 7

REPUBLICANS:
Rudy Giuliani: 1
Mitt Romney: 2
John McCain: 4

The polls opened just after midnight and closed two minutes later at the Balsams Grand Resort.
