Subject: Hey Everyone! Today I did NOT wake up late--in fact, I've been awake for hours. I'm almost finished making "borracho" beans...

(those are spicy pinto beans, with my own 'secret' ingredients--"borracho" means "drunk" in Spanish, so I guess you can figure out ONE of my 'secret' ingredients. LOL) for a Bar-B-Que at my cousin's house.

Not much going on with Bush and Company, only ANOTHER Bombshell of a story that Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Gonzales(who, by the by, can't seem to find anyone to give him a steady job, so he's been going around the country giving his little 'speeches' for what ever money he can grab), and some other idiots (who I've forgotten what their names are, but they all work for King G. or Dick) sitting IN the White House, polluting the whole place with sulfur, by drawing up plans on how to torture people! Then finding corrupt and sleazy lawyers (Yoo, where are you?) to find "legal" ways of not breaking any laws (well, that's not true, they HAVE committed War Crimes because of this) Unbelievable that NO ONE in Congress is saying anything about this!

I've finally decided either Bush has some blackmail going on with Pelosi and the higher-ups, or that if anyone in Congress even says the word "Impeachment" that some s**t is going to fly through the tubes and be published in every right-wing newspaper and broadcast on every right-wing TV station. What the heck does Bush have on people in Congress anyway? Does he have 'secret' tapes of them making love with each other? Does he have info that most of them are murderers? Does he have info of them stealing, lying or shooting dope? What does he know that is making sure that he and Dick don't get Impeached???

Eh, Eh, Eh, the sounds of Ambassador Crocker, when he answered questions this past week. I watched some of it on C-SPAN in the late evenings--the Petraeus, Crocker report--and all I can say is that those two did a bang-up job of NOT answering questions. It was almost they were both singing a rip-off song "Should We Stay Or Should We Go?". I mean, come on fellows, at LEAST give us a clue about life in Iraq!

Oh, and Bush is trying to push Iraq into signing some kind of 'statement' (as opposed to a 'treaty' which would mean Congress has to be in on for approval) with the al-Maliki government that would keep US troops in Iraq for YEARS, in the US military bases that are already built. Bush and his lawyers don't miss any tricks in the book, do they? Well, Congress, the ball is in your court--do something, ANYTHING to stop King George and his grand delusions of the Project for the New American Century agenda!

Well, I'll be on my way soon to San Antonio with my husband and my son, then it's back to work for the week.

Love,
Mercedes

PS. This coming weekend begins "Fiesta San Antonio" with all the parades, carnival rides, bands--(and some fancy coronations of young white rich women Fiesta 'princesses'' which I wouldn't pay ONE Dollar to ever see or waste my time, however my son Chato is going to check out, with his buddies)--a BIG bunch of parties that will end on April 27th. So if anyone likes to party, Come on Down! (But don't get sucker-punched by spending lots of money on junky souvenirs and over-priced food and drink):)

PSS. Everyone have a Safe and Happy week!
