Granted they are angry. This is the second Triple Crown race in the past three years which has resulted in an equine fatailty.
But really now, how can they without corraborating information say that the jockey Gabriel Saez was truly at fault.
In such a situation, I would assume that a jockey has to make a split-second determination that something is wrong and that act accordingly.
There is really little possible in the way of a dress rehearsal.
I am not suggesting that Saez is blameness.
I am suggesting that PETA move back for a minute and let things sort out.
Why are they so sure that the jockey was at fault in this case when that was not found to be the case with injuries to Ruffian, Charismatic (not a fatality) and Barbaro?
