Every week we will feature FACE OF THE FUTURE : Aspiring Male Model around the World. This will highlight their plans, status and something about them.

First in the List :

Jens Klapatsch - Germany

About Him :
I am 24 years old, born in the South of Germany in a town next to Karlsruhe. I am very much interested in sports, I feel that about a good workout I can feel a certain self-satisfaction. I think it has something to do with a sense of balance between my physical being and my mind. Being in good shape can really make a big difference. I am also a fashion-conscious person. I like to buy clothes, if it's something new and trendy, expect me to be one of the first to wear it.

Modeling Experience:
My very first model experience was a test shooting with a photographer near my hometown. I know a rather established hairstylist who has been working for a long time in the fashion business, and is stylists to famous stars. He is very close to the photographer and arranged to have my pictures taken.

The results were quite amazing. I never imagine myself looking like the ones in the pictures. It's an important step that allowed me to enter a modeling agency and apply for representation. It happened last march and 3 months later, I was walking the runways in Milan. It was like a dream.

On first earinings as model:
I invested my first earnings in composite cards, test shoots and going to different agencies. It is not so easy to make money at the beginning on one's career and buy stuff.

Best Part of Being a Model :
The best part of being a model is the chance to travel around the world, meet different people from different places. The worst part must be being alone by yourself and missing your family and really close friends.

Plans for the future :
To go ahead with modeling as long as I have fun and feel good with the job. I will also be studying and look forward to get my MBA soon.
