I don't know if you've been helped yet or where you are located, but a "big thing" around here in North Carolina is a product called "Just Toss-It and "SolidState". They are oil "encapsulating" powders. The do not absorb oils, but rather bonds with them rendering them non-toxic and inert, which can then be tossed into the normal disposal systems without retribution.

It is primarily used for the fats and greases oil recycling companies won't take, such as fats oils and grease from bacon, chicken, duck, turkey, prime rib, hamburgers, etc. and spilled or contaminated fryer oils. Normally dumping these types of fats oils and grease is what gets restaurant owners into costly trouble. And most Water System Municipalities are now implementing a fierce crack down on these types of harmful oil dumpings.

The product is relatively inexpensive and saves restaurant owners costly expenses on drain and fat trap cleaning, and more importantly eliminates fines imposed for illegal dumping. To find out more, go to www.oildisposal.org and see for yourself as it is really a simple and effective solution to oil disposal dilemmas.
