Your comments about leinbach’s talent was spot on in terms of why she didn’t win talent, it is a discipline of strength and grace and not just acrobatic. I believe the judges also did not get the discipline and explains why she didn’t win a prelim. Honestly, this is the outside the box talent MAO needs to survive. Anyone can sing. I find it hard to believe they didn’t appreciate. As a dancer, my disciple takes much of the same strength and artistry so I appreciated the difficulty. 3 of 5 judges had background in dance which is unusual for a panel. I think it comes down to the MAO judges charge, which states entertainment value. What do you want to see again most? I agree that I would rather hear Holli sing again than watch Kait spend just 1:30 in the silks. Like I said, it was impressive but I did expect a little more. Original poster here

Funny how opinions differ because I thought Holli screamed more than she sang so when she won talent, I knew the judges really liked her. Leinbach is reportedly competing at National Sweetheart so it will be interesting to see if she performs the same talent. ^You say that working the platform is the biggest factor yet our past three Miss Louisianas hardly made any (if even one) appearance with their local title before capturing the Miss Louisiana crown. Are you kidding when you say our last 3 Miss Louisiana’s didn’t make appearances for their local titles and their personal platforms??? I know all 3 of the last titleholders well and that is simply not true. These titleholders dedicated a lot of their time to their personal platforms, CMN, their local communities and their local titles. I did not think that Holli was able to do any appearances because she was working on a boat for the year. I am not meaning any offense, but I did not see Holli work her platform either.
