Well we(the PL) finally made it to the P.I.G. Congratulations!!!
The PL is so improved. The league has made tremendous strides with scholarships. We are gaining national respect.
Sure it has! This has got to be a major low point in the history of this league.
Why does HC think this will get better? Why do they think that staying in this Low(don't give me mid-major, because there is no way the PL will ever attain that)conference will benefit this program? Even with all HC had done in the past 3 years with near misses, it still gained no respect for the overall league. HC WAS AND IS THE ONLY SCHOOL THAT GARNERS ANY NATIONAL RESPECT FOR BB!!!
When will the administrators realize this and look to upgrade this program??? I don't understand. Yea, you had 1 down year, but if the recruits stay away because the tiny bit of national coverage is off, how long before HC is way-off the map, again. You have nothing to gain by staying in this league. NOTHING!!!
I agree with your analysis, the PL is really not Mid Major, it is Low Major. I note MAAC Champion Manhattan is a 12 seed. Attendance at PL championship game, on a home court of one of the participants, was about 3,500. In view of that, I would be very surprised if American got an NIT bid. The PL is just not Mid Major. There is just no interest in PL basketball...
