The PL is nowhere near the MAAC in terms of its caliber of play. There are no Colgate's in the MAAC which draw 200, 300 & 400 fans for home games. The MAAC has Manhattan in as a 12 seed while the PL champion is in the PIG. The MAAC has had multi-bid years, the PL has never. I really think that the PL is D2+ basketball, not real D1. Look at the trouble they are having trying to find a format that works for their end of year tournament, an event that they can't take to a decent facility due to a lack of fan interest.

Go Cross Go, out of the PL!!!

The fact that "other things to do are a must" says it all. What you suggest (and I'm not disagreeing) is that fans would love to spend a weekend at the casino and when doing so could sacrifice two hours of their day to duck into a hoop game. That is a very sad statement about the league - in what other leagues do you think they have to dream up ways other than good basketball to get fans to attend their basketball tournaments?
